As we step into a brand-new year, it’s the perfect time to set meaningful goals and refresh our outlook on life. As a Grandmother, GaGa, one of the most inspiring ways to approach this is by seeing the world through the eyes of a child—full of wonder, curiosity, and boundless possibilities. Children view the world with fresh perspectives. They marvel at the simple beauty of a flower, find excitement in small discoveries, and believe anything is possible, almost seeing everything new every day. By adopting this mindset, we can break free from limiting beliefs and embrace opportunities with optimism and creativity.
What Are Your 2025 Goals?
With Gratitude for 2024 and looking forward, here are mine:
Dream Big: Don’t limit yourself. Imagine what you truly want, no matter how ambitious, and map out steps to achieve it. (this is one part that needs work for me :-)
Stay Curious: Approach challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, just as a child might explore new experiences.
Focus on Joy: Set goals that bring happiness and fulfillment, whether personal, professional, or community-oriented.
Celebrate Progress: Children revel in small victories. Celebrate your milestones along the way to stay motivated and don't be afraid to give yourself an "Attaboy"
How to See the World Differently
Take Time to Play: Allow yourself moments of fun and creativity to recharge and spark new ideas. I like to turn on music and dance, I have dance parties with my grandson.
Ask “Why?”: Challenge assumptions and dig deeper into everyday experiences to uncover new insights. My 3yo grandson likes to ask this over and over but it makes sense as he tries to learn the world around him.
Appreciate the Small Things: Find wonder in nature, relationships, and daily joys. I don't do this enough as we get so caught up in moving on to the next thing.
Be Fearlessly Authentic: Like children, embrace your authentic self and don’t be afraid to express it.
